BSN N.O. -XPLODE 2.0 Advanced Strength Review

BSN No XplodeN.O.-Xplode 2.0 is a pre-workout supplement produced in the USA by BSN (Bio-Engineered Supplements and Nutrition). There are several supplements in the BSN range and N.O.-Xplode 2.0 seems to be one of their more popular products.

Key Ingredients

N.O.-Xplode 2.0 consists of a proprietary blend that contains five more proprietary blends, so no inclusion rates are available.

N.O.-XPLODE™ 2.0 PROPRIETARY BLEND                  (19.6g)

  1. Advanced Strength & Performance Matrix:  Modified Glucose Polymers (Maltodextrin), Beta-Alanine (CarnoSyn®), Di-Creatine-Malic Acid Interfusion, Betaine HCL, Sodium Bicarbonate, Creatine-Sodium Phosphate Matrix, Creatinol-O-Phosphate, Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL, Malic Acid, Glycocyamine, Guanidino Propionic Acid, Cinnamon Extract (Bark) (Cinnulin PF®), Ketoisocaproate Potassium, Creatine-Alpha-Aminobutyric Acid Matrix (Creatine AAB™)
  2. Ener-Tropic Xplosion:  L-Tyrosine, Taurine, Glucuronolactone, Methylxanthine (Caffeine), L-Tyrosine-Alpha Ketoglutaric Acid, MCT’s (Medium Chain Triglycerides), Lesser Periwinkle (Whole Plant) (95% Vinpocetine, 98% Vincamine, 98% Vinburnine)
  3. N.O. Meta-Fusion:  L-Arginine-Alpha Ketoglutaric Acid, L-Citrulline-Malic Acid Interfusion, L-Citrulline-Alpha Ketoglutaric Acid, L-Histidine-Alpha Ketoglutaric Acid, NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide), Gynostemma (Leaves & Stem) (90% Gypenosides)
  4. Phospho-Electrolyte Composite:  Di-Calcium Phosphate, Di-Potassium Phosphate, Di-Sodium Phosphate
  5. Glycerol Polymer Complex:  Potassium Glycerophosphate, Magnesium Glycerophosphate, Glycerol Stearate

Taurine may help provide extra energy and increased mental focus, and the blend appears to contain concentrations of electrolytes that should ensure muscle tissues are not starved of blood or water, but with so many ingredients involved the lack of inclusion rates makes it impossible to predict how good the formulation might be. Let’s take a look at what past users have to say.

Customer Feedback

Some users complain N.O.-Xplode 2.0 made them feel bloated and caused the kind of pumps that are not deemed social within the confines of the gymnasium, but the majority of customers reviews speak in glowing terms.

Two happy customers state:

“Very good for your pre-workout routine! It is really strong! I only use half of the suggested serving and I have so much energy for my workout and the rest of the day! When I drink it, I don’t need my morning coffee! My husband and I have used it for about three years and love it!”

” Always works to get me pumped. I use it in the morning prior to my workout. It wakes me up if I am still groggy. It makes my body look fuller. I even use it before I go out if I know it will be a late night.”

Lower rating are usually related to side effects.

“Iv’e used about 5 different pre-work out supplements now and this one ( 3/4 to 1 scoop) would make my skin turn red and itch, bad. After dosing it down to about 1/3 scoop or so, I wouldn’t get these reactions. The energy gain wasn’t as effective as other brands.”

But flavor is also an issue for some users and one customer made an especially memorable comment:

“This stuff is meh, didn’t get the pump or energy I was looking for. 3 Stars -1 Star because the blue raspberry tastes like a smurf that was hit by a semi”

Side Effects & Health Issues

N.O.-Xplode 2.0 should not be used by pregnant or nursing mothers, anyone who has health issues or concerns, or people who are taking medication. Supplementation should be ceased if side effects become an issue.

A refund may be possible for purchases made from BSN website, but only if 75% or more of the product is unused.

The Bottom Line

BSN appears to be a reputable company, but restrictions on refunds mean customers who require one will probably have a fight on their hands. That’s not a good selling point, neither is the lack of inclusion rates, but many of the ingredients have qualities that match the promised product benefits and customer response indicates good results are possible. Customer feedback also suggests the blend does not work for everyone, and may cause side effects for some users; so although it’s not the worst pre-workout supplement available, it’s certainly not the best. It’s worth a try, but don’t expect an easy refund if results aren’t forthcoming.
